The City of Moreno Valley welcomes the decision of Sprouts Farmers Market to open its first MoVal store. Sprouts features fresh, healthy foods at farmers-market prices.

“We’re very pleased that Sprouts has chosen to locate in our community,” said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. “Our residents will appreciate having yet another excellent choice when it comes to grocery shopping, specifically in terms of healthy foods.”

The new store will be located at The District commercial development (Heacock Ave. at State Route 60) with construction starting in summer 2021 and plans to open in 2022.

“The residents of my district are eager for new grocery options,” said Mayor Pro Tem Victoria Baca, who represents City Council District 1. “Sprouts will be a welcome addition to District 1 and to our City.”

โ€œOur vision for the revitalization of the old Festival Center, now known as The District, was based on establishing a Class-A mixed-use project that provides local commercial job opportunities,โ€ said Ryan Martin of Ledo Capital Group, developer of The District.ย โ€œAdding Sprouts Farmers Market is very gratifying.โ€

Sprouts Farmers Market will join Floor & Decor as the primary anchors at The District, which benefits from more than 58 million vehicle trips annually along the 60 Freeway.ย Construction is also expected to start soon on the new four-story, 122-room WoodSpring Suites Hotel.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited to grow and spread goodness in the community of Moreno Valley next year through nutritious foods and new career opportunities,โ€ said Sprouts spokesman Diego Romero.

Sprouts Farmers Market, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, operates close to 350 stores across the nation. The company focuses on offering farm-fresh produce and other natural, healthy foods at competitive prices. Sprouts partners with local Southern California family-run farms to provide high-quality, fresh, seasonal produce.
