Many are surprised to learn that there is no blanket exemption just because you are a nonprofit. Get the rules that apply to your particular 501(c)(3), religious, youth or other charitable organization. You’ll receive instruction on making food sales, selling gift baskets, conducting raffles, silent auctions, rummage sales and other taxable activities and fund raisers. Obtaining a seller’s permit, using a resale certificate, and figuring use tax are also discussed.
